Taper = arctan (pitch ÷ π × diameter) × 180°÷π
Where pitch refers to the distance perpendicular to the thread axis obtained by each thread, and diameter is the diameter of the drill rod thread. This formula is used to calculate the taper of the entire thread, and can also be used to determine whether the thread meets the standard by calculating the taper of each thread.
